The 2024 edition Visions du Reel, a Swiss documentary film festival, has launched 29 projects in its VdR-Industry section. The selection of works in different stages of production was driven by artistic ambition, strong topics and potential for international exposure. Sixteen of the films were invited to pitch their project to professionals in the film industry in the VdR Pitching and VdR-Work in Progress forums. This year, two new cash awards have been introduced. The Eurimages Co-production Development Award was presented to “The Last Days of the Hospital” directed by Mehran Tamadon (My Worst Enemy, Bassidji).
